Join The first-ever Agnone Homecoming

Book your flight and join us in Agnone. And while you enjoy the experience of discovering the story of your family, the money you spend there allows local businesses—and the families that own them—to stay in Agnone.

As we get closer to the event date, we'll send updates and details about the reunion. If you haven't already, be sure to subscribe.

It’s amazing to think that I’m standing in the very same place where my great-grandfather and my grandmother used to walk. I really can’t believe I’m here. And I’m enjoying it so much I just want to cry. I’m 63 years old and this is by far the best experience of my life. It’s as beautiful as having a kid. It’s very personal; very intimate. This experience has been absolutely amazing.

While Venice has its canals, and Rome its Colosseum, only Agnone has the story of your family. While most cities have a museum, Agnone is one. And every exhibit is about you.

So come experience a village that time forgot. Throughout the week, we'll offer guided tours to the churches where your ancestors were baptized, married and buried. You'll shop in the stores owned by your distant relatives. You'll see the current generation craft and cast, mold and sculpt, using the very same techniques that were used more than 1,000 years ago. Eat seven-course dinners in the open air while Agnone's musicians play the music your ancestors danced and sang to.

Most importantly, learn who you are by learning about where you come from.

Agnone is home to nearly 20 churches. Inside, you'll find the birth, marriage and death records of your ancestors.

World-Class Craftsmen

More than 1000 years old, the Marinelli Bell Foundry is the second-oldest business in the world, still family-owned, and has made bells for the Vatican, the UN, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

During the reunion, the following additional add-on services will be made available to visitors (subject to change):

1. Available transportation to and from the airport (FCO only)

2. Guided tours in English

3. Group dinners with live music, locals, and other Agnonese descendants

4. Professional photos from the reunion

5. A night of music featuring performances from local folk musicians.
